Ballydonagh Solar Farm

Ballydonagh Solar Limited is owned by L&G NTR Clean Power (Europe) with RES acting as planning and development consultant.

The Ballydonagh Solar Farm is expected to provide enough power for ca. 20,000 homes and abate 23,000tns of CO2 annually.

Ballydonagh Planning Applications

The consented Ballydonagh (planning Ref: 23/61049) and Ballydonagh Extension (planning Ref: 24/61749) solar farms are located in c. 1.2km east of Kiltormer town, Ballinasloe, Co Galway.

Ballydonagh Solar Limited submitted amendment planning applications to Galway County Council to amend the previously consented developments (23/61049 and 24/61749). The proposed amendments (2561903 and 2660009) seek minor modifications to the consented developments.

A Strategic Infrastructure Development (SID) application for a 110kV substation and grid connection within Ballydonagh Solar Farm has been submitted to An Coimisiún Pleanála and the planning application can be viewed here.
